Philipp Menz comes from a family of film professionals. After his studies of business management at "L.M.U." in Munich, he moved to Los Angeles and worked as personal assistant of Peter Strauss, President of THE MOVIE GROUP and former PARAMOUNT STUDIOS Executive. In this time he succeeded in the executive production and marketing of Phil Collin's Feature Film Debut "Buster", "Lobster Man from Mars" and "Best of the Best I".

In '89, Philipp Menz returned to Germany and has since then worked in the family owned world sales company ATLAS INTERNATIONAL FILM GmbH. In '98 he became Managing Director of the production company ATLAS FILM & TV PRODUKTION GmbH.

Since then Philipp Menz has produced the international TV movie format "The Red Phone", executive produced the Australian horror film "Devil's Gateway" and the Canadian Family feature "Sophie" and has been involved in the development, packaging, financing and coproduction of numerous feature films and TV productions, including the ABC-SciFi Channel Miniseries "Dune - The Desert Planet" and "Starhunter".

Philipp Menz currently serves as a member of the board of both the German - and the European Film Exporters Associations (VDFE/EFEA).
